Server settings

Set the colour of the bot's replies for your server.

Server administrators can set the accent colour of every reply the bot sends in their server:

text
/docs settings colour hex:#ff88c8

The # is optional. The colour must be a six-digit hex code; anything else is rejected with an example of the right format. Servers that haven't set a colour use #ce0985.

Who can change it #

Members need the Administrator or Manage Server permission. Anyone else gets a private message explaining which permission is needed. The command only works in a server, not in direct messages.

The setting only changes how replies look. It doesn't affect who can use /ask or /docs.

What it changes #

The colour applies to all of the bot's replies in that server, including search results, page replies, "no matches" replies, and error messages.

It is stored in the bot's own Cloudflare storage, keyed by the server's ID, and nowhere else.

Colouring the bot's name #

To show the bot's name in a colour too, give its role a colour in Server Settings → Roles, for example #ff88c8. The role must sit high enough in the role list for its colour to show. The bot doesn't change its own role.
